Azari & III

One of my best finds in about 2years is a Canadian duo who go by the name 'Azari & III'. The best way to describe their sound is disco ballad//future disco/underground pop (as made famous by Seth Troxler), which is a sincere tribute or reinvention of the classic huge room disco sound. Their vocals transform the music into an honest artistic expression of true human emotion. Look up 'Reckless With Your Love' and 'Hungry For The Power' for examples of instant modern classics.

Azari & III - Into The Night

Melancholic Groove

I'm a big fan of female vocals on a track, because they often add some strength/gentleness/passion to whatever beat they're accompanied with. This pairing of the melancholic, sultry, almost story teller vocals with the laid back midnight disco beat is a huge success in my books. There are moments of pure brilliance where your emotions are escalated by the subtlest of tempo changes and peaks, which i consider the marks of a true deep house classic. "and she wonders where her soul is..."

Pitto - Where my soul is now

Big Room Deep

Apocalyptic deep chugging banger! Just clear your mind and succumb to its raw power.

Feygin - Saying Goodbye (Dairmount & Berardi Dub Remix)

Future Pop

I first came across this track on a Martin Landsky 'Mobilee' mix, a few months ago and immediately fell in love. Its one of those odd tech tracks that you either get and love, or don't. This track is killer because it has a simple repetitive structured beat that will keep you in a trance for its duration, the vocals are pure twisted 90's R&B melancholy that you cant help but try sing along to. try some Twisted Disco

Shenoda - Shots

Stripped Bare

Once in a while, you come across a track that redefines what music means to you. This is one such track for me, its brilliance goes beyond genre and can solely be attributed to how it makes me feel. The raw simplicity of this banger is intensified by those haunting vocals that seem to want to communicate something deeper. This is techno executed well with the subtlest hint of the deepest groove. enjoy it

Chmara - Powidlo

Crossover Appeal

This track has been floating around for a while and I guess out of a loyalty to the man who inspired it all for me (Milton Jackson) , Ive been reluctant to post it. However I believe music should be shared, especially such good music. This one piece of music is a collaboration of so many legends its hard to comprehend: a Recloose original, with Dwele on vocals and Milton Jackson on the remix, the result, harmonic genius. Prepare for 6:24 min of glitchy deep tech that will move your soul, dwele's vocals take this banger to a completely higher level because of the pure emotion he conveys in so few words.

Recloose, Dwele - Can't Take It (Milton Jackson Remix)

Retro Evolution

There's been a trend of late for producers to look back and be inspired by the past. I'm always inspired when I hear an old sound reworked and changed into something new, while still keeping the essence of that period. This track embodies the sound of the underground at the moment, deep, full bodied house with an attitude that's unapologetic and a pioneering spirit that lets me know that we're not doomed to simply recycle the past. While I can appreciate the original cut, the remix by the super talented Maya Jane Coles leaves me in absolute awe! Give it a few spins and decide for yourself
