Jiga Jacks vol iii by Reezo

The Sound Of Settling

Lately I've been keeping a close eye on any Freerange releases, especially anything to do with Tony Lionni, I've been a fan for a while and after dancing to 'Found A Place' in the rain, that's not going to change. This time round he manages to capture the sound of optimism and present it in an incoherently coherent sequence of chopped up beats. Close your eyes and imagine

Strip It All

I'm a fan of a producer who doesn't define themselves by one particular sound and is still able to be good at each new sound he experiments with. KiNK has been upgraded in my books as one such talented artist. This offering id different to what I've come to expect from him and I'm blown away. This time around, he delivers simple rhythms with such sophisticated details that it transports you to a world of his creation, one of masterful build ups and gentle breaks, deep-tech never sounded so good.

Flying High

It's been quite an exciting week, what with the release of Flying Lotus new album Cosmogramma, which is a mix of jazzy beats, instrumental hip hop and warped trippy lucid-dream type music. And while it took a while to grow on me, i'm loving it and viewing it with a new found appreciation everyday. Here's a track that isn't included in the album, but gives a taste of what to expect from cosmogramma. Enjoy it

Flying Lotus - Ancestors

How Come?

One song that always comes to mind when i think of my high school day's is Phonique - For the time being, i think it's that association with some of the best times i have ever had that endears me so much to Phonique. So whenever there's a new set or track by him I'll always check it out. This time around I was blown away by what i found, a mash up of talent, with the combined talents of Phonique, Tigerskin and Ofrin. The slow powerful beat coupled with the eery vocals make this a solid tech banger. Enjoy it

What are the chances?

This year I decided that one of my aims was to see Martin Stimming play live, somewhere in Europe during my travels, however the strangest thing EVER happened. Turns out he's playing in my country, in my city, in fact a 15 minute drive from my house. EPIC! I can barely contain my excitement, it's ridiculous! Anyway below are the event details. My new track of Reflections is Silver Surfer, i never really paid much attention to it before. See you there
