Soul Delight

I've been jamming a lot of chill sessions lately and i find that electro/fidget/minimal aren't exactly conducive to setting the mood. So it's always good to find a house track, while chilled, is funky and jazzy enough not to settle impressively into the background. This track by Audio Werner is a keeper, so soulful, so chilled

Audio Werner - Bakshi

Hijackin

I got this little surprise in my facebook inbox yesterday, it pays to be part of the Hijack group on Facebook. It's a new remix by the English Fidget Impresario. This track really surprised me because its so phat and bouncy, unlike most Hijack tunes, its slower but with a more focused rhythm, the bass is perfectly matched with the moody vocals. I suggest jamming this on the way to a club, quite massive

Adam Freeland - Morning Sun (Hijack Remix)

Jacking Jones

Jeez it's hard to believe that's its already December, this years been insanely busy and awesome. I got my degree, so now that those nerves are sorted there'll be more steady blogging coming your way. Now I've got some jacking house for you, it's been a while, my apologies, this is more soulful deep jacking stuff by Sonny Fodera

Sonny Fodera - Bad Connection

Sonny Fodera - Everybody Get On The Decks

I Need Your Help

Apologies for such blatant friend-promotion on JohnnyFidget, but my good friend Raquel O'Donoghue, has entered the FHM Model Search 2010 competition, and judging by that awesome pic, i'd say she deserves to win. So for those of you living in S.A. please

It's All A Circus

Ever since i heard Brabe's remix of Flying Lotus' Breathe, i've been the biggest fan of this young producer. Now he's taken a track originally by the great J Dilla and made it into the most pleasant chill out track. Doesn't get any better

J Dilla - Circus (Brabe Cover)

Happening...

Legendary South African Superclub, celebrates its 10th Birthday will a 24hr dance festival. Make sure you there to experience the insanity.

Eiszauber

For those of you in the Northern Hemisphere, firstly i'd like to acknowledge you and thank you for your continued support of this blog. It seems we're not so different today as the weather in South Africa is wet and miserable. So i've been indulging in a little melancholy and decided to share this intensely awesome minimal track with all of you. This is pure art and it is achieved with such simplicity and restraint that it blows you away. It's a joint banger by Solomun and the highly talented Stimming. Enjoy it

Solomun & Stimming - Eiszauber

Organo Scuro

Now here's a grimy little tech number that is probably the soundtrack to all my underground clubbing fantasies. I imagine walking into Truth with no one worried about clothing, out-jamming each other and being totally immersed in the intensity of the music. Its just a fantasy but hey I'll keep dreaming. This soundtrack is brought to you by Hermanez And Ramon Tapia.

Hermanez & Ramon Tapia - Organo Scuro

Numb Wrist

This track is sooo old but i've always wanted to put it up here. I remember jamming it when i would only download sets. I remember it from one of the early quality Crookers sets. What a mad tune, combining the talents of Foamo, Will Bailey and Ill Phil. Chunky Fidget

Foamo, Will Bailey, Ill Phil - Numb Wrist (Original Mix)
