Ever since i heard Brabe's remix of Flying Lotus' Breathe, i've been the biggest fan of this young producer. Now he's taken a track originally by the great J Dilla and made it into the most pleasant chill out track. Doesn't get any better

It seems we're not so different today as the weather in South Africa is wet and miserable. Well I'd written this Italian Duo off, due to their recent noisy and random 'fidget'. The Crookers started off so well with tracks like Just Ghetto, Knobbers and Atomic Baile Boy. Lately however they've been less than impressive. That's why it was so good to hear their latest remix offering, its simple and unpretentious and that's the reason i probably got this track. And while it isn't mind-blowing, it isn't bad, and lets hope its signalling a return to simple good music. Then again this is a Jesse Rose Remix so, maybe he deserves all the credit

Malente always manages to surprise me because you can never truly know what to expect from him, whenever i see his name linked to a track i always download it just to be proven wrong. Well he's done it again with this upbeat deep track which has some old school disco leanings, truly stellar track. Perfect for any deep or disco set.
Ladies and Gentlemen this is a presentation brought to you by the good people at good fidget inc. This track has so much chunky bounce its tiring, it takes me back to a time when i would walk into Natural Groove and immediately know that i would have a good night. The second drop is mind blowing, listen out for it on Hijack's September set, the way he mixes it in, is so insane. Washed out has created what is possibly the most melancholic song ever. This lo-fi disco track is so intensely awesome not only because of the instruments and strung out sounds, but because it induces deep introspection. In my mind, a song has to have some purpose, be it to entertain, soothe, excite etc. and this track meets that requirement, definitely one of my top tracks of 2009
It's no secret i'm a big fan of Florence and The Machine. Well now it seems, she's getting major airplay, saw her video for raise it up on Mtv. This is a track I just seem to have memory off, but she's done well in putting her spin on it, this remix is amazing. check it out

You can always trust Hijack to introduce you to the latest bangers. This is one of the many bangers in his latest set that is beyond insane. This bouncy and chunky number is the product of one Harry Axt. Fidget never felt this good. This is random but Brabe is the most awesome producer ever (Groupie Alert)..
My my, it seems that my love affair with Milton Jackson is far from over. I discovered two gems by this musical genius. I personally think that he's one of the few producers around consistently creating masterpieces, whether its a new banger or a killer set. This guy is the one to watch.
I often wistfully indulge in the nostalgia of old school house. For some reason it seems that nothing of late has been able to capture the spirit of those tracks that pioneered the house movement. The interesting thing is that house, way back when was so well produced that even today it is relevant and still considered spin-worthy. That is why i was so surprised by my recent discovery. Julio Bashmore, the new don of deep house, maybe a premature title but well deserved. Give his tracks a listen and you'll recognise that, old school quality, that has been missing...
The Martin Brothers have produced a track while not only devastatingly good but also relevant to the current Vampire / Werewolf craze. This Minimal-tech banger, is so piercing and dark, while simultaneously transporting you to a intensely savage place. This is pure art. Enjoy
Since today's weather has been so unforgiving and hot, i decided to bless you folks with my song of the summer. This track is epic, to say the least. Jamie Jones is possibly one of the freshest producers around with a unique perspective and killer production skills. I saw him play live at FABRIC and have since been a fan. I reckon the reason he makes such good music is that he enjoys what he's doing, enjoy this, cause i still haven't gotten over it.
