Exclusivo!!!

After a lacklustre previous album, Bookashade is back with what promises to be a quality LP. I've got an exclusive first track off that LP and it's very promising, dark, alluring and hypnotising. This is house music!!

Bookashade - Regenerate

Deeper than Deep

I'd really like to sincerely apologise to all those out there who aren't deep fans but i'm going throught a bit of an obsessive phase, so excuse me. Last week i was blown away by BlackSheep, Brad S and Troydon at the Woods, so deep all the way. Now i've got a track that literally has the same effect as smoking a blunt, it's so instantly relaxing, you'll want to listen to the whole thing. Let Showboat take you on a magical ride.

Showboat - Haze

Mixcloud

This is the best place to get and upload mixes by established and upcoming producers and dj's, it's got tons of sets featuring some of the newest tracks, go check it out. Mixcloud
I've got a set i particularly enjoyed by Elliot Wright, really nice deep/deep tech rythms, enjoy

Shameless

I've been really getting into sets again, i'd forgotten just how good sets are for finding new tracks. Luckily i've been open minded and trying out sets of random dj's to my great surprise, there's some great track selections out there. This particular tech bouncer-ama is so uplifting simple its irresistable, get it, Sacha Braemer will make you go loco.

Sacha Braemer - Go Loco

Grey Area

Greetings citizens of the blogosphere, I'm back once again with a few tunes that'll hopefully be the soundtracks to your busy days and heavy nights. For the next while there will be a focus on mainly deep/deeptech/minimal but worry not fidget-electro heads, i'm looking for a fellow blogger to take charge of looking for tracks of that nature only. Anyway first up I have something somewhat new from producing ace Riva Starr, it's a rolling bumping tune with lots of quirky personality, give it a try

Stank It Up

You'll have to forgive me for being so late with this one, House Of Stank has produced a banging fidget tune and got the remix treatment from two major names: Stupid Fresh and Hijack. These tunes are epic. Jam them on your way out

He's Back

Disco days are here again, after a long silence master disco synthesiser, Breakbot is back with some quality new tracks. I was really excited to discover his new work as i've long been a fan and posted a lot of his stuff in the earlier johnnyfidget days. These new tracks aren't as dramatic as his older work but have an exciting sincere quality to them. Enjoy disco days

I Give Up

Jeez i actually don't know where to start, i just headed over to Sound Cloud to check if Brabe had anything new he'd been working on. I discovered a new track, oh my soul, this guy, won't stop, he can't stop. I'm sure you've had enough of me singing his praises but wow wow wow, listen to this track, don't even know how to describe it. It's definitely not fidget, this is deep-tech house with the funkiest soul ever!. He's created a tune that manages to be both melancholic and hopeful at the same time. Genius!!

On to the Next One

My current passion is really chilling out and listening to deep/deeptech/minimal tunes. There's something about mature elegant music that puts you in a good space. I might sound like a stoner but this is too sophisticated to be called stoner music, this tune is executed with such gentle precision and restraint that it's easy to forget what you 're doing and concentrate on listening. Kudo's to you Glowing Glisses

Glowing Glisses - On The Bridge

RE:work

I'm usually not a big fan of re-works especially when the original has sentimental value. While i was skeptical when i downloaded this track, i was hoping the fact that it was a Chris James rework meant that some justice would be done to Solid Groove/Sinden original. The result was pure shock as he actually managed to impress by lacing the original with the intro to Switch/Solid Groove's - This Is Sick. Mad Tune

Solid Groove & Sinden - Gotta Get Up (Chris James Re-Shuffle)

Jack Your Soul

Here's a track that really got me reminiscing about the real hey day of Fidget and Jacking. Will Bailey and Hot Mouth have created a track that stands out from all the noisy white noise that passes for music lately. This track is bouncy and has a lot of soul. I'm not too sure if it's Jackin/Fidget to be sure, but get it anyway, it's not gonna blow your socks off but definitely quality

Will Bailey, Hot Mouth - Underwear Funk

Let The MOnsters Take Over

One of my latest and greatest finds is a collaboration between a one DJ Sparkle and Motor City Drum Ensemble. I'm a big fan of MCDE and i was quick to grab this, wow was i surprised by just how dark and dirty this deep-tech number is. While the break spoils it a bit for me, this is such a quality track, Get it now!

DJ Sparkle - Grand Central, Part 1 (Deep into the bowel of house) (MCDE bassline Dub)

Creamy Pasta

Last friday my mate Ando and i headed to Kitcheners Bar in Braamfontein to see Digital Rockit perform a 5 hour minimal/tech set. First up, the venue and crowd were so awesome and on point, it's good to see that minimal has it's loyal followers. After the event i found myself hunting for new stuff and stumbled on some swell tech tracks by Poligono. While both have a unique sound, the tracks have a dirty underground tribal undertone which would be perfect for that early morning set as you're just drunk enough but still chilled. Quality
