There's been a trend of late for producers to look back and be inspired by the past. I'm always inspired when I hear an old sound reworked and changed into something new, while still keeping the essence of that period. This track embodies the sound of the underground at the moment, deep, full bodied house with an attitude that's unapologetic and a pioneering spirit that lets me know that we're not doomed to simply recycle the past. While I can appreciate the original cut, the remix by the super talented Maya Jane Coles leaves me in absolute awe! Give it a few spins and decide for yourself
